VGPlayers ist mal wieder ein Interview erschienen aus der Reihe "Lerne das Vanguard-Team kennen". Diesmal steht Rod H. aus der Qualitätssicherung im Fokus.
How valuable is /bug feedback within the game? Have you ever seen any amusing feedback (if not, I'll be sure to send some in!)
Telon is a huge world and even if we spend weeks testing on each build we received there is no way we could find half the bugs that players provide or us in /bugs. We simply don't have the man power to cover everything in the game so we rely heavily on /bug reports that our players provide. I can't image how much harder our job would be with out the help of the player base when it comes to bug reporting. I know many of the players out there are passionate to see this game succeed and my best suggestion to them is if you find something that is broken in the game, please do use the /bug feature and give us as many details you can on the issue. The easier it is for us to reproduce the problem the quicker we can get it reported to the development team which in turn leads to them being able to provide a fix quicker.
As for amusing feedback, we do indeed see many interesting to say the least bug reports. Some of which are more opinions than bugs within the game and many times are filled with language I can't repeat here. While providing us with a good laugh at times, it doesn't do much to help produce a better game.
