I have learnt from Aruspex that the Diplomacy development team has been assigned other tasks to work on by their bosses. This means that they do not currently have time to work on new Diplomacy content.

Aruspex is still the Lead Diplomacy Developer however, and does have the job of fixing any bugs that players find in existing Diplomacy content.

Also, whilst some at SoE do not like diplomacy, higher powers really like the idea and plan to continue development in the future.

I have no information about what if any of the content that Aruspex had been working on will make it into upcoming live patches and/or what timescales are involved.

I think this may be my first post even though I joined a few months ago.

Diplomacy is not going away or being removed from the game. I've personally spent many hours playing it and I would love to see it integrated more into the world of Telon. APW is actually a good example of the start of that.

However it is true that the diplomacy guys are not currently working on new content. Aruspex is replacing our unoptimized NPC's in the cities with new optimized NPC's which will greatly improve frame rate for all players and Linear_core is helping out on the Thestra improvements. There is a thread on the main boards about it under gameplay.

They will be coming back to diplomacy at some point, but for the time being, they are taking a break and helping out in other areas. At the very least they need to put the new tier 5 Diplomacy clothing in that art just finished.

We are making a concentrated effort to publish quality content and that requires a team effort. So as we work through various milestones, the focus will naturally move around to different areas of the game.

I'll keep checking this thread as question pop up.
